Image Overlays with Text

I chose this picture for the lyrics of the song because Paul Walker died when he was by a tree so the lyrics of this song are about Paul Walker so the most appropriate picture to choose was a tree because it represents Paul.

What motion picture taught me is that there is a lot of varieties to take a photograph. You can take a picture and have everything really clear or you can get a picture with more than 1 picture inside the picture. The motion unit taught me how to actually use the camera better and actually feel like i'm a professional photographer. With this unit I got better at taking pictures and i also learned many new ways in how to get a motion picture.

Motion Planning

Blurred Subject- in order to get a blurred subject you will need to set your camera up with a slow shutter speed and the camera needs to be stabilized so the subject can be blurred but the background is clear. Also try and make your shots to follow the rule of thirds.

Panning- to get a panning shot you will need to have your camera on a low shutter speed. Although, when you take the picture your subject needs to be walking or running so when you start taking pictures make sure you can match the speed of your subject.

Frozen Motion- in order to get a picture with no blur what so ever, you will need to have your camera on a high shutter speed and make sure your ISO can be equalized with the shutter speed. In order to get the picture you will need to hand-held while taking the picture.

Zooming- To get a zooming picture, your camera will need to be on a low shutter speed and the camera can be either hand held or stabilized with a tripod while taking the picture. While taking the picture you will need to zoom in really fast while taking the picture so the subject looks blurred while the background of the image feels like you're being sucked in.

Writing with light- in order to get a cool image like this you will need to have a really slow shutter speed. The camera needs to be stabilized at all times. You can use the flashlight on your phone to start writing with light while the camera is taking the picture of you.

Lighting Final

5 Finished pieces:

Existing Light was used in this photograph to show his "thinking" stage because due to the fact he thinks every second of the day about what is he going to do for that day.

Natural Light was used in this photograph to show my friends happy place and that is him smoking his tobacco products while the pack is full so he doesn't run out in a long time.

Natural Light is used in this photograph because this shows my friends most favorite thing and that is his car.

Natural Light was used in this photograph to show how his "natural beauty"  because he always does this face everyday.

Existing Light: This was used to show my friends favorite thing to do after school and that is to take a 5 hour nap. He says that he works and goes to school almost everyday so when he has a day off all he does is sleep.

Why is this person important to your life?

My friend's name is Dino Grabic and he has been my friend since 6th grade. I've had many friends in my life but all of those friends i had all left my life except 3 of them. One of those friends is this one i took photographs of, he saw me in my worst and he still talked to me like i was in my best, he shows me that he's a true best friend by doing anything for me whenever i asked him too and i would do the same for him and he knows that; so that's why this person is important in my life and always will because he is actually a true best friend. My friend's personality was a challenge for me to take pictures because he is never serious and we both like to joke around when we have to do things like this. His personality is just laid back and hilarious all the time so all the pictures we took was showing his true personality of laid back and funny. I mostly chose existing and natural light to show his personality and i told him to dress how he usually does everyday to show everyone his true self. All those years i spent with him showed his true emotions so it was easy to take pics with him. This unit affected my photography because i worked with the same people. Working with someone with specific emotions rather than the same people, i learned how to evoke emotions from the person viewing the photo by depicting the emotion of the subject through the photo.

10 photos of the day of Samel

Elements of Principals:

Treadmill: Symmetrical Balacne because it helped the image show more effect making the treadmill stand out more.

Bed: Unity because the image itself comes into a complete picture due to the colors of the bed and sheets.

Shower: Worm's eye view because it shows how i actually shower because the shower is high so i have to look up at it to take a shower.

Sink with mirror: Simplicity because its all just objects that everybody uses in their daily lives.

Table: Curved lines because of the table which is curved making it more curvy.

Binder: Variety because there are many colors laying on top of each other all leading into one picture.

BMW Key: Emphasis because the image is only focussing on the BMW key.

TV: Horizon Line because in the picture there is a imaginary horizon line going across the room.

Game Room: Rule of Thirds because the picture can be divided into thirds and be used for more pictures.

Wilson ball: Texture because you can see the little details on the basketball.
