Understanding Aperture

For this picture i used f/5.0 with 1/60 of a second also with iso 800. This picture  used the smallest f stop possible this camera can go. This picture gave me a small depth of field where the image thats being focused is really clear and in the background it is blurry, making the image being focused clear.

For this picture i used f/22.0 with 0.3 and the iso at 800. This picture used the highest f/stop my camera could use and it gave me a large depth of field, making the whole image visible in the front and back. Not like the small f/stop where the background is blurred out.

Di) Aperture is a space in which light passes in an optical or photographic instrument, especially the variable opening by which light enters a camera.

Dii) It opens wide and squeezes/forces light through a narrower opening creating focus. Works visually by creating a blur, and need lens to focus on the object, when narrow, creates infinite depth of focus.

Diii) Aperture is the opening of the light goes through, shutter speed controls how long the light passes through, and the iso it is how sensitive the light opening is.

Photographic Themes

What i believe this photograph project was assigned to us is to see what we see when we take a picture of calm, angry, terrifying, etc. I believe there is no wrong answer in this project because everyone has a different view in life. Some pictures i liked the most is the 5th row first one which is a basketball and my caption for that was compassion. I have compassion for playing basketball because i practice 2 hours mostly everyday and try to improve my basketball skills so i can try to get a scholarship. Another one i mostly liked taking was 3rd row second one which is a picture of all my shoes i had. I captioned that as growth because i started a sneaker collection 2 years ago but these sneakers are rare and cost a lot of money so its hard to get more shoes because the prices for them are through the roof. The last one i liked the most is 4th row 1st picture is the Quran which is the bible in muslim. I captioned that as love because i love the Quran because I'm muslim so its like a christian liking the bible. I believe that all these pictures i took are good captions of what the project assigned.
