Photography Portrait

            Nauman Iqball but known as “Iqballer”, he has no idea why he was named like that but he likes it. He has no idea how to use a camera and how to take a professional picture but the reason why he chose this class is too learn how to take a good picture. When he masters the camera, he wants to take pictures of cities or islands. Many people like him because of his personality traits. Those traits include ambition and confidant. Girls like guys that are confident because they don’t want a shy guy. Although he may sound like a dime, there are some flaws about him. He believes he is too short for being a guy, he wishes he would be a lot taller. He wants to be 6’7 just like his moms grandpa because he was tallest compared to everyone else in their family. He also has a huge fear of snakes. He wishes that snakes were not created on this earth. You think Nauman does many things during his spare time but all he does is stay home and use his phone to talk to his friends. He is usually found at home either watching tv or on his phone. Nauman wants to go to college for business major and try to become a CEO of some business so he can make a lot of money so he doesn’t want t struggle financially. In 10 years he said he would be chasing his dreams by helping other people that are in need. Nauman likes to go out to eat a lot, but there’s only 1 restaurant that he would eat forever is Nandos which is a Portuguese restaurant.

1.     Anger		I chose this picture because my mom is always mad so i had to get a regular picture of her, and that normal picture of her is her being mad.
2.     Power		I chose this because since its 2014, all people care about is internet/wifi. So i chose the internet router as power because it bosses people around now a days.
3.     Ugly		My cousin come into my house like this so i had to take a pic of her because i thought it was so ugly that i needed a picture of it.
4.     Calm		It was a clear day outside and there was no wind so i had to take a picture of this because it was so calm and warm outside.
5.     Compassion		I love playing basketball and i hope that i can make it pro in the euro league because it is my dream to play for Bosnia.
6.     Authority		I chose this as authority because when you get your license you get some authority and that is to drive on the road.
7.     Pride		I have a lot of pride in my country and i am proud to be born from there.
8.     Mysterious		Eating something healthy or unhealthy, it's mysterious because you never know what you want.
9.     Wisdom		My cousin is full of wisdom so i had to get a picture of her thinking about something.
10.  Love		I love this picture is represents my religion which is Muslim.
11.  Lazy		I come home from school and i see my sister sleeping with the pillows all over the floor and doodle cakes on her while she snores.
12.  Temptation		I have a bad sweet tooth so all i do is wanna eat sweets. It is so tempting for me but if i eat to much it will be bad for me.
13.  Happiness		In my religion we believe that the rooster bring happiness to your life so i got a picture of our fake rooster.
14.  Growth		I started to collect exclusive shoes as my hobby and this hobby is an expensive one but im still growing the collection but it takes some time.
15.  Memories		I remember i played CVYBA when i was little and we went 10-0 back then so we got a trophy and i still have it in my room because i will never forget it.
16.  Sounds		I represented sounds by taking a picture of my phone playing music through my beats which is made for music/sound
17.  Diversity		i choose this as diversity because of the colors played in this pic, we got brown, black and blue which is a diversity of colors.
18.  Dangerous		cigarettes kill so many people and my grandparents smoke so i got a picture of this because cigarettes are so dangerous to humans.
19.  Hope		my cousin prays everyday so she always hopes for something new.
20.  Truth		my mother got me this because i believe it speaks the truth about our relationship.
21.  Patriotic		The reason why i choose this photo is because it represents my country. It represents where i am from, and i am proud to be born from Bosnia.

23.  Terrifying		nothing is more terrifying than seeing your 13 year old cousin coming at you with a razor sharp knife.
24.  Abandoned		This part of my house is abandoned because we don't put anything in that room, and when we moved into this house this room was abandoned so we kept it like that.
25.  Courage		my sister fell down and cut her leg so my cousin got her a bandage which for me represents courage.

How did you take the photograph?

My answer: I took this photograph by using my Galaxy S5. 

Why is this photo good? (Compositional standpoint)

My answer: The reason why this photo is good is because of how i used 2-D shapes of planets and tried making them look 3-D. I tried making 3-D because it would add detail into the sketchbook cover.

Why do you value this photograph? (Sentimental standpoint)

My Answer: The reason why i value this photograph is because both shoes and space explains me. I collect shoes because that is my hobby. I collect only rare shoes and then wear them to be fashionable. Space and planets also explains me because space is full of things like planets and stars and black holes. So I'm saying that I'm full of things like happiness, sadness, anger. Also plants explain me because most plants are huge in size and I'm huge in size and they are really good looking and so am I.

What is your theme? How did you showcase your identity?

My Answer: In this sketchbook i had 2 themes for it. Those 2 themes were shoes and space/plants. I showcased them by printing pictures of huge planets behind a whole background of space to show where the planets are located. I printed off 2 pictures of shoes, 1 picture off the internet and 1 that i took myself. Shoes is another theme cause collecting them is my hobby.

How do the other images/ text selected relate to your theme?

My Answer: I printed off more planets and pasted them on my sketchbook so that it can relate to my theme because since its planets it will be in space. And since space is my background i needed to print off pictures of planets.

Describe how you used the chosen principle of design.

My Answer: I used dark colors because I like using dark color because it can match with anything. I used mostly black and gray to describe me because I'm mostly full of gray and black. Then i added some blue and orange colors showing that sometimes i full of energy and excitement. But there is more black and gray then blue and orange. So that means I'm more of a sad person than happy.

Best Photo and why I Chose It

The reason why i chose this photograph is because this photo will always stick in my mind. When i was 15 years old i was 5'9, 220 pounds and people were making fun of me and calling me fat. No girls wanted to talk to me because how big i was so things had to be different. While they were calling me that I realized i am to big for my age. So i went on a diet for 7 months and lost 65 pounds and grew 4 inches. Now i am 158 pounds, 6'1, and everyone tells me that i look like a whole new person. And its true because i do feel like a whole new person. When i saw people that i didn't see in years they always ask me who i am so that means i did transform a lot. Out of all the pictures i took on my phone this will be the picture running on my mind everyday for my whole life because of the transformation i went through.

What are the qualities to a good photograph?  S_Muminovic_blogpost1

             One quality to a good photograph is to evoke the emotion of the photograph. Any kind of emotion such as happiness, sadness and any other emotions.  

My Response: I believe that emotion is a good quality to a photograph because you want to know what kind of emotion’s are playing in the photograph so you know how you can look and describe the picture. After reading through this blog page, I realized that most people talked about emotions in their picture. If a picture can bring back a memory of yours from a long time ago, then that photograph is using your emotion and is a good picture.

            Another good quality to a good photograph is taking a photograph with intrigue in it. You want that because when a viewer of your photograph sees it, you want them to think about the photograph and have their own perspective on the picture.

My Response: Taking a picture with intrigue in it is a key part to a good photograph. That intrigue makes the viewer think about why you took the photo and thinking what is going on this is photo. It isn’t a boring picture, but it’s the other way around, it fascinates them.

            Photographers take some excellent pictures, but when you realize it some take really dumb pictures. They need to take pictures that bring some fun or horror into you.

My Response: Something that people don’t think about taking a good picture is the subject of the picture. They take boring pictures such as doorknobs and roadways. You want to take pictures of something that brings happiness in your life, such as a group of little kids all-together holding hands and smiling.
